a whole collection of perfume bottles. Flacon after flacon, some still filled with fragrances, I stored them carefully in an old suitcase under my bed. Two days ago I took them out of there hiding place and the most rare ones got to be arranged around an old fairy light ring. Still a bit skew, those bottles project magical figures along my wall. Telling fairy tales at night.. as the Ferris wheel does in broad daylight.
My life seems to be split into halves. Most of the time I have to write on essays. But often I find better things to do, so I end up taking pictures of myself :) This time I tried to rebuild a chair from the 18th century. My dad calls it a pseudo baroque chair. Well I tried myself in working as an upholsterer. Fortunately I know people still working as craftspeople, otherwise I would not have dared to really breath new life into this chair which has been painted gold under the white paint coming off. First I decided to take anthracite as a fabric to cover the chair. I ended up with rosa, realising that it really fits my blogs name (my name) as well and that I will never stop to like that colour (you were right, Sophie) Anyhow it was lots of work to "animate" this piece of furniture and my back hurt devilish. I think this was just the beginning of reforming many other chairs, I might even find a couch! This pictures should be only about the new chair, of course!
